Where Jesus meets you
at the well.
Wait At The Well is a Christ-centered community for single men and women who want more than distractions. Like the Samaritan woman at the well, we believe Jesus still shows up at wells — in the middle of ordinary days, in the places we thought we had to hide — and offers living water that changes everything.
We prepare for covenant before we pursue it.
Marriage is a holy covenant, and preparation deserves more than good intentions. We serve Christian single men and women who want to bring their faith, wounds, patterns, and hopes into the light before they build a life with someone else.
Divorce is a real part of the Christian story, but no credible international study publishes one unified worldwide percentage for divorce among Christian couples. The clearest context we can responsibly share is a U.S. lifetime measure: Barna reported that 35% of married adults identifying as born-again Christians had experienced at least one divorce. That figure describes past experience, not an annual rate or a prediction for any one marriage. The Well Journey seeks to reduce preventable relationship breakdown by helping people slow down, heal honestly, communicate clearly, practice wise boundaries, and discern readiness with prayer and community around them.
Statistics can describe past experience, but they cannot measure the faithfulness, healing, communication, or readiness of one couple. Christian affiliation alone is not a guarantee. Our work is to help people practice faithful, honest, covenant-minded ways of relating.

The well is where God does His deepest work.
Our name comes from John 4, where a Samaritan woman went to draw water alone — in the heat of the day, burdened by a past that pushed her to the margins. She went expecting nothing more than water. She left with living water, a transformed identity, and a testimony that brought her entire town to Jesus.

In Scripture, wells are not idle places. They are places of encounter, provision, and divine appointment. In John 4, Jesus traveled through Samaria — a place most Jews avoided — and sat down at Jacob's well. He was tired, thirsty, and unafraid of the barriers that would have kept others away. A Samaritan woman came to draw water. By the end of their conversation, her shame had become her testimony.
We believe Jesus still works this way. He meets you in the middle of your ordinary day, in the places you have tried to hide, and He knows everything you have ever done — and He offers you living water anyway. The well is not a classroom. It is an encounter. It is where shame meets grace and leaves transformed.
Wait At The Well exists to steward that encounter. We equip Christian single men and women with biblical wisdom, practical relationship education, and a community that has learned what the Samaritan woman discovered: when you meet Jesus at the well, you do not leave the same. We are less focused on helping you find a spouse and more focused on helping you meet the One who makes you whole before you pursue oneness.
Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
What we believe
We are anchored in the historic Christian faith. These convictions shape what we teach, how we encourage one another in community, and the kind of marriages we prepare men and women to build.
The Bible is our authority
We believe the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible Word of God and the final authority for faith, life, and relationships.
Salvation through Christ alone
We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ, whose death and resurrection secures forgiveness, healing, and new life for all who believe.
The work of the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts, comforts, heals, and transforms. He is the one who brings beauty from ashes and power for daily obedience and growth.
The local church matters
We believe God has placed every believer in the Body of Christ. We encourage active membership in a local, Bible-believing church as essential to maturity.
Marriage is covenant
We believe marriage, as designed by God, is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, reflecting the love of Christ and His Church.
Wholeness before oneness
We believe God cares deeply about who we are becoming. Healing, emotional health, and spiritual maturity are not optional extras, they are preparation for lasting love.

How we walk with men and women
from encounter to testimony.
Every resource, course, and conversation is shaped by four convictions we return to again and again.
Encounter Precedes Transformation
You cannot become what you have not encountered. Like the Samaritan woman, real change begins when Jesus meets you where you actually are — not where you think you should be. Everything we teach flows from encounter, not effort.
Healing is Foundational
Jesus did not ignore the woman's five broken relationships. He named them, then offered her living water anyway. We make space for honest healing — no pretense, no hiding — because unhealed wounds do not disappear when you say "I do."
Community is Essential
God never intended you to wait alone. Growth happens in community. We learn discernment, practice boundaries, and find courage when we are surrounded by brothers and sisters pursuing the same hope.
Your Story is Your Witness
The Samaritan woman left her water jar behind and told her whole town, "Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did." Her testimony became the bridge for others to meet Jesus. Yours can too.
Real people, real faith, real community

You will not find a perfect platform here, but you will find people who pray, who have wept at the well themselves, and who are committed to telling you the truth in love. When you join Wait At The Well, you are not joining a program. You are joining a community of sons and daughters who are learning to delight in the Lord and trust Him with the desires of their hearts - Psalm 37:4-5.
We are a ministry first. Every teaching is weighed against Scripture, covered in prayer, and offered with your long-term joy in mind.
Your season at the well
is not wasted.
If you are tired of navigating this journey alone, if you crave wisdom rooted in the Word and friendship that strengthens your faith, we made this space for you. Take your place at the well.
"They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength." — Isaiah 40:31
